Michael Lee Burdette

Michael Lee Burdett, 63, of Cadiz,
passed away at his home on Saturday,
Aug. 31, 2019. Born May 2, 1956 in
Dennison, he was a son of Shirley
Lee (Taylor) Burdette and the late
Ray Louis Burdette, Sr. Mike owned
and operated Maverick's and was a
conductor for Norfolk Southern until
his retirement in 2016. He was a
member of the Dennison Eagles, where
he served as a trustee, and the
American Italian Club who loved
games of chance and playing pool. He
played with V.N.E.A. and the
Tuscarawas County Tavern League and
enjoyed his time at the Cotton Club.
Most of all, he loved spending time
at his farm, "The Ponderosa", with
his many horses and dogs whom he
loved like family.
In addition to his mother, Mike is
survived by his wife, Shirley Ann
(Walker) Burdette whom he married in
2010; siblings, Robert (Brenda)
Burdette, Ray (Chone) Burdette Jr.,
Vickie Quarles and Randy (Susan)
Burdette; numerous nieces and
nephews, including Brandon and
Dustin, with whom he was especially
close; step daughter, Lyrae Tingler;
and a host of friends. He was
preceded in death by a sister, Tammy
Burdette; and sister-in-law, Vickie
Burdette; as well as his father.
Pastor Jimmy Stull will officiate
his funeral at 11 a.m. on Wednesday,
Sept. 4, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral
Home in Dennison. Interment will
follow in Fairview Cemetery in
Jewett. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to
7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral
home. In keeping with Mike's love of
animals, memorial contributions may
be made to the Humane Society of
Harrison County, P. O. Box 404,
Cadiz, OH 43907.

Timothy Miller
Timothy Miller, 67, of Ashland,
passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019
at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.
Born November 15, 1951 in Ashland,
he was the son of Harold and Sybil (Hulme)
Miller.
Timothy was employed at Hydromatic
Pumps and was a member of the AmVets
and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid
pool player, and loved to play golf,
travel and work on cars. He also
loved his pets, Bella and Squiggie,
but his greatest enjoyment was
spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Tamara
Miller; his sons, Jim (Carolyn)
White, Bob (Regina) White and Dan (Kathi)
Miller; his daughters, Tammy Miller
and her fiancé Antonio and Megan
(Jacob) Painter; his step son, Kyle
(Khaled Habayeb) Meyer; his
grandchildren, Trent (Ashley) White,
Deven Miller, Darian Henthorn, Derek
Miller, Drew Miller, Alyssa Henthorn,
Madison Painter, Dalten Miller,
Amelia Meyer, Delanie Miller,
Anthony Delacruz and Given Meyer;
his great grandchildren, Trevor
Jobes and Aubree Hess; two brothers,
Jack (Cynthia) Miller and Jim
Miller; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his
parents.

p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the
Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral
Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue,
Ashland. Funeral services will be
held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 12,
2019 at the funeral home conducted
by Rev. Richard Pate. Burial will
follow in Ashland County Memorial

 "Dynamite"
Dave Darrow passed away
unexpectedly on Saturday,
December 31, 2011.
Dave was preceded in death by
his mother, Dorothy Darrow. He
is survived by his life-long
love Cindy Mazzagatti; sons,
James and David Darrow, Mike
(Lisa) and Patrick (Shelly)
Mazzagatti, Mike Besserman;
daughter, Michelle Darrow;
grand-daughters, Kara, Chloe,
and Heather Mazzagatti, many
life-long friends and race fans;
and his beloved dog, Daisy.
Dave was born on February 7,
1957. He graduated from Kenmore
High School and loved coaching
Kenmore Youth Football and
Basketball. He had a love for
fishing and a passion for
racing. He acquired many racing
accomplishments throughout his
life. He held track records at
Lorain Speedway, Sandusky
Speedway, Canton Motor Speedway,
and Barberton Speedway. In 1989,
Dave won two races at Sandusky
Speedway, three races at Lorain
Speedway, three races at Canton
Motor Speedway, four races at
Midvale Speedway, and fourteen
races at Barberton Speedway. He
also won the Season Championship
at Barberton Speedway in 2000.
When Dave no longer drove race
cars, he mentored and supported
his family and friends with
their racing endeavors. Dave
also owned and operated The
South End Tavern and Shakers
Auto Salvage in Barberton where
he contributed to the lives of
many with his sense of humor,
friendship, and caring nature.
"Dynamite" Dave Darrow will be
forever loved and dearly missed
by many friends and family

D. Gainer, 45,
passed away July 21,
2011 after a boating
accident.
He graduated from
East High School in
1984. Michael worked
for the Western
Reserve Girl Scouts
for over 15 years as
a production manager
of the print shop.
He was a Stock
Car/NASCAR fanatic,
and will be loved
and missed by
everyone. Michael
coached Little
League Baseball in
Copley for eight
years with his son,
Branson.
He is survived by
his parents, John
and Georgia Gainer;
son, Branson Gainer;
step-daughter,
Danielle Kinney;
granddaughter,
Olivia; best friend,
Cheryl Gainer;
grandmothers, Peg
Boylen of Akron, and
Edith Booth of

 Brian
Alan Trumphour, 37, went to
be with the Lord on Sunday,
August 8, 2010, after a
short battle with Leukemia.
Born June 25, 1973 to Paul
and Juli Trumphour, he
graduated from Ellet High
School in 1991, where he was
a four-year letterman in
wrestling. Brian served with
the U.S. Army for 12 years.
He was the owner of
Tri-County Concrete Leveling
since 1995.
On July 10, 1999, he married
the love of his life,
Kimberly Nussbaum. Together
they had three children,
Kevin, Jonathan, and Lauren.
Brian was fun to be around,
always a comic, and loved
his Mustang. He also enjoyed
playing pool and with his
team took state championship
in 2006.
Preceded in death by his
father-in-law, Chet
Nussbaum, Brian is also
survived by his brothers,
Mark and Dan; mother-in-law,
Doris Nussbaum; numerous
other family members; and
grandparents, Robert and
Mary Horvath.

BARBERTON
-- Gary K. Devore, 56, passed away
peacefully, May 15, 2010 after an
extended battle with cancer.
He was born May 18, 1953 in
Barberton. He was a 1971 graduate of
Barberton High and a member of the
original mini-magics basketball
team.
He was preceded in death by parents,
Peter M. and Berneda R. Devore.

away on August 30, 2009.
Dean was a member of Springfield
Assembly of God. He was the
owner of Brown St. Café and
enjoyed riding motor-cycles.
