2020/2021 BELL MUSIC POOL LEAGUES
AKRON AREA SUPPLEMENTAL RULES – To be
used in addition to VNEA Rules.
All matches
start at 7:00pm real-time,
not bar-time. There is a 15 minute grace period. A player has until the
end of the 1st round to show up and play all their games. If a
player shows up in the 2nd round, as long as their game has not been
passed, they can play that game but not make up the first round.
The WEEKLY FEES are $6 per player so $30 is due from each team each week. Full team weekly dues must be submitted. Partial payments will be treated as late payments.
Payment of league dues will be made electronically via
PayPal or emailed invoice.
Score sheet and payment deadlines are as follows:
Mondays – due by noon Wednesday
Tuesday – due by noon on Thursday
Wednesdays – due by noon on Friday
(It does
not have to be the home team captain that sends in the scores but the home team
captain is responsible for making sure it gets done.)
Take a
picture of your scoresheet and text it to: 330-714-7550
Fax:

Email: ktaylor@bellmusicco.com
Make sure you keep your copy of the scoresheet at least until after you see the scores have been posted. After that, it's up to you if you want to keep them or not.
Penalties for not
turning in scoresheet or money by deadline:
1st
Offense: Team will receive a warning. Scoresheet must be turned in and
league dues must be paid before team may play next match.
2nd
Offense: Team is fined $10. Money will be deducted from prize money at
the end of the season. Scoresheet must be turned in and league dues must be
paid before team may play next match.
3rd or more
Offense: Team is fined $25. Money will be deducted from prize money at
the end of the season. Scoresheet must be turned in and league dues must be
paid before team may play next match.
Each player must pay a $20 sanction fee. Sanction fees are due by Dec. 1st. If paid after Dec. 1st, the cost goes up to $25. If a player does not pay their sanction fee, the team they played on FIRST will be charged.
1) Any team not finishing the session will forfeit all prize money.
2) Team captains are responsible for
making sure scoresheets are properly filled out with League name, Team name,
Date, and Players full names. Any mathematical errors or writing down
the wrong average for a player on the scoresheet is corrected by the computer
and will be the score that stands. Make sure you circle any 8OB’s, ERO's or
10-0's so they are clear.
3) All established players will carry over their average from the
last season they played. New players start as an 8. Each player is to use that
average the first 3 times
they play. After a player has played 3 times they will use their
calculated average. The maximum spot per round is 12 balls. There is no
maximum spot between 2 players. Teams may line up their players in any
order they wish.
4)
You will be racking your own break. If you make the 8-on-the-Break, you have the
option to spot it and continue play, or re-break. If you make the 8-on-the-Break and scratch, the incoming player
has the option of spotting the 8 and starting their play or re-rack and break themselves. Your opponent has the right to inspect the
rack before you break. Circle the
8-on-the-Break on the scoresheet when a player makes one so they receive
credit.
5)
Each
team may have players that are ranked Masters and AA as long as the following
maximums for a given match are not exceeded! 1 Master and 1 AA Man on a
team…OR…2 AA Men. If a team goes over these guidelines, the match will be a
forfeit. Mens Master players average will never fall below a 10. AA
players will never fall below an 9.
6)
No new
subs or players the last 4 weeks of the each half; in order for a player
to play on your team the last 4 weeks, they must have played on your team at
least 1 week already. Subs may play on any team they wish until they have
played on the same team 9 times; they are then locked into that team for that
league. They may still sub on a different
night.
8)
